As a producer of compelling new works, we are committed to championing the stories, amplifying the voices of the playwrights through our deeply collaborative programs and initiatives.
As a producer, presenter, and educator of theater, we are driven by the belief that theater can challenge and transform our ways of thinking and urge us to reflect on our role in society.
Till now we have staged varoius brilliant theatre productions, our journey complimented by the presence of eminent personalities like Mr. Naseeruddin Shah , Amol Palekar, Rajat Kapoor, Jim Sarbh, Kalki Koechlin, Vinay Pathak, Ranvir Shorey, Lilette Dubey, Anjan Dutt, Kabir Suman & others. Synopsis :
Zeenat Aman as Kasturba Gandhi & Arif Zakaria as Mahatma Gandhi in Dearest Bapu: Love Kasturba, an English Play directed by Saif Hyder Hasan, with musical elements & larger than life scenario which is a visual treat for the audience.
The Bollywood Diva, Superstar of 70s & 80s Indian Cinema, lead heroin of Satyam Shivam Sundaram & Don, Zeenat Aman. Marking Zeenat Aman’s comeback on stage after 19 years with “Dearest Bapu, Love Kasturba”, attempts to trace the historic events that transformed Gandhi into the Father of the Nation, and subtly recounts the marital woes that defined his relationship with Kasturba for 60 years. “Marriage chocked me… I learnt the concept of Satyagraha from you, my feisty better half”, confessed Gandhi. Arif Zakria as Gandhi & Zeenat Aman as Kasturba Gandhi performs in the background of India’s Freedom Struggle, Partition, Satyagraha & everything happening in the 19th century in India & also in Gandhi’s life.
The play opens with the drama of the Quit India movement. Gandhi is arrested & sent to the Aga Khan Palace in Pune. Kasurba leads in his absence. She too is arrested & sent to the Arthur Road Jail in Bombay. Due to bad health she is sent to be with Gandhi. A few years later she passed away. Now, her soul write letters to Gandhi. These letters evaluate their relationship of 60 years. From marriage till death, the letters leave nothing. She writes & Gandhi responds, nothing is left out – Politics, Marriage, Family, Children, Sex, Companionship. The letters form the core of the love story.
There’s a beautiful moment in the play, Dearest Bapu, Love Kasturba when Kasturba reads out a letter her spirit has written from beyond the grave. It is about the time she was released from prison in the early 1940s while Gandhi was still shackled. She says, “What do I do of freedom if it is to be had without you?”

2) Entry will be prohibited after the show starts, and it is advised to arrive 30mins prior for the collection of the tickets
3) Tickets once booked are nonrefundable, also in case of reschedule or venue change.
